''Kamal's Marudhanayagam will blow everyone’s mind away'' ...
Jun 10, 2013
“The drum sequence in Chandralekha, doesn’t fail to stun anyone,
however old it is. Likewise, Marudhanayagam will definitely blow
everyone’s mind away, once it releases,” feels Muthukumar, the
photographer of the film.
The film went on floors in 1997. It’s been 16 years, but the ace photographer still cherishes all those breathtaking experiences he had while working for the mega budget film. While talking to a leading magazine, he recollected all those extraordinary sequences shot in Athirapally and the various forests in deep South.
He also recollects the incident where he made Kamal mighty furious. The team was shooting for an action sequence, where Kamal gets chased by a couple of enemies and a few hounds. Kamal goes to the top of a hill and rolls down a huge rock and kills the hounds.
Muthukumar’s job was to capture every pose and action of the actor. But the photographer was so engrossed in the scene that he forgot to capture an important moment. Kamal supposedly turned red and strongly advised the ace photographer to concentrate on his work more.
Muthukumar, like the innumerous fans, is also hoping for the film to release soon.
