Meanwhile, the post-mortem report of the actress, who committed suicide in Mumbai, has suggested that there were no external injuries found on the body. The 22-year-old aspiring actor was arrested on Monday after Jiah committed suicide by hanging herself at her Juhu residence. Suraj had admitted that he was in a live-in relationship with Jiah but denied abetting her suicide.
The arrest was based on a six-page suicide note reportedly written by the 25-year-old actress, and her mother's Rabbiya Amin-Khan's statement to the police. A note written by the actress revealed that she was abused in the relationship. Five other love letters were also found that were exchanged between Jiah and Suraj. The Mumbai Police have revealed that the hand writing on the letter have matched with Jiah's handwriting.
The police is now verifying if the letter is genuine and have also recovered five letters from Suraj's house and Jiah's abortion report. While speaking to CNN-IBN, Suraj's mother Zarina Wahab denied all charges and said her son should be punished if found guilty. She denied that her son was in a live-in relationship with the late actress.
Actress Jiah Khan, who made her debut in 2007 in Ram Gopal Verma's 'Nishabd', was found hanging in her Juhu flat on June 3.
Mumbai: Late actress Jiah was reportedly in a live-in relationship
with her boyfriend Suraj Pancholi for a year. Reports further say that
Suraj had also promised Jiah for marriage, but he later cheated on her,
by going around with other women.
Reportedly, Jiah's mother Rabia Amin told the police that her daughter
was in a live-in with Suraj for almost a year. She further added that
Suraj had also beaten her up, before dumping her. Rabiya tweeted, "My
daughter had bruises on her jaw. She was hit badly that pushed her to
the end path. I wish I was there. How dare he (Suraj) hit her!"
On the other hand, Jiah Khan's latest suicide note revealed her troubled
affair with Suraj. She also blamed Suraj of raping her, hitting her and
cheating on her. According to the note, Jiah also had an abortion,
after she became pregnant with Suraj's baby. All this left Jiah
shattered and depressed, and finally hanging herself to death.
